Emirates has reached a new milestone with the introduction of its state-of-the-art Airbus A350 aircraft on the Oslo route, marking the first time the airline’s acclaimed Premium Economy cabin is available in Scandinavia. To celebrate this achievement, Emirates hosted an exclusive launch event at Oslo Airport, welcoming industry partners, invited guests, and media representatives, reaffirming its dedication to offering exceptional travel experiences across Northern Europe, according to Xpats.ae.

The arrival of the A350 in Oslo signals a major investment in the Norwegian market, reinforcing Emirates’ long-term commitment to the region. The aircraft showcases the airline’s newest and most advanced cabin designs, featuring next-generation Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy Class interiors. This enhancement not only redefines passenger comfort but also strengthens Emirates’ reputation for setting the benchmark in onboard luxury and service quality.

Since launching in 2014, Emirates’ daily flights between Dubai and Oslo have become a trusted option for both corporate and leisure travelers, connecting Norway seamlessly with the United Arab Emirates and an expansive global network. This upgrade is expected to further enhance connectivity and elevate the travel experience for passengers flying between Scandinavia and major destinations across Asia, Africa, and Australia.

The grand event was attended by key Emirates executives, including Pierfrancesco Carino, Vice President of Commercial Operations for North and West Europe, and Terje Grue, Country Manager for Norway. Distinguished guests included Majid Al Matrooshi from the Embassy of the UAE in Norway, Ståle Lien Hansen, Mayor of Ullensaker Municipality, and Dorothy Billett, Senior Vice President of Terminal Operations at Avinor. Grue expressed his excitement about the launch, stating that the introduction of the A350 and Premium Economy service represents a significant milestone in strengthening Emirates’ presence in Norway and offering travelers a new dimension of comfort.

Introducing the Premium Economy cabin, Emirates aims to bring an elevated yet accessible luxury experience to a broader range of travelers. The class features a generous 40-inch seat pitch, 8-inch recline, adjustable headrests, and full leg and footrests for maximum comfort. Each seat is elegantly finished in cream-colored leather, complete with foldable woodgrain tables that serve well for dining or productivity during the flight.

Premium Economy passengers can also enjoy in-seat charging outlets, ample storage with a side cocktail table, a 13.3-inch personal entertainment screen, plush pillows, soft blankets, and complimentary amenity kits on select routes. To complement the exceptional service, Emirates serves Chandon Vintage Brut 2017, a sparkling wine offered exclusively onboard the airline.

The launch event featured presentations from notable speakers and allowed guests — including travel partners, operational collaborators, and media professionals — to tour the Airbus A350 and experience the newly designed Premium Economy cabin first-hand. Emirates will operate the A350 on its daily Oslo–Dubai route, designated EK159/160, providing convenient links to 145 global destinations, including popular travel spots such as Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam, Pakistan, and Australia, as reported by Xpats.ae.
