His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has instructed Dubai Police to intensify its efforts to position itself at the forefront of global law enforcement agencies in adopting advanced technology and artificial intelligence (AI). The directive emphasizes leveraging cutting-edge innovations to provide world-class, technology-driven services to enhance community wellbeing and safety.

Sheikh Hamdan reaffirmed the importance of continuously improving the capabilities of Dubai Police personnel by equipping them with top-tier technological tools and advanced training. He highlighted that these efforts align with Dubai’s overarching vision to emerge as a global benchmark for technology integration and to reinforce its reputation as one of the world’s best cities in which to live, work, and visit.

The directive was issued during a meeting chaired by His Highness, which was attended by His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications; His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police; and His Excellency Khalfan Belhoul, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Future Foundation.

“We take pride in the accomplishments of Dubai Police and envision it becoming a global pioneer in utilizing AI and modern technologies,” Sheikh Hamdan stated. “Establishing a smart and innovative security ecosystem depends on investing in creative minds, encouraging innovation, and empowering Emirati talent to excel in the technology sector. Our goal is for Dubai to be a model city delivering futuristic, safe, and sustainable services.”

During the session, Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri presented an overview of the latest Dubai Police initiatives, projects, and technological advancements, including smart service applications and AI-powered solutions offered to residents and visitors through digital platforms.
