Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, has been recognized with the prestigious Diamond Award for Excellence in Culture — the highest honor granted annually by the Asociación Española del Lujo (Luxury Spain), as reported by Xpats.ae.
Sheikha Latifa stands as the sole representative from the Arab world among this year’s international laureates, celebrated for her visionary leadership and significant role in promoting culture as a driving force for human development, innovation, and intercultural understanding.
The award was presented by Her Royal Highness Princess Béatrice d’Orléans and Cristina Martín Blasi, the presidents and founders of the Asociación Española del Lujo, during a ceremony hosted at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid. Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, accepted the award on behalf of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa.
The International Luxury Awards – Diamonds of Excellence event brought together 25 prominent global leaders, including Baroness Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza, as well as distinguished delegates from the United Nations, Elie Saab, the Mobile World Congress, the World Economic Forum, Chopard, and the Kering Group. Established in 2010, the Asociación Española del Lujo works to promote Spanish excellence across gastronomy, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and tourism sectors, with the Diamond Award highlighting individuals who embody cultural innovation, legacy, and a dedication to global humanistic values.
