The United Arab Emirates has expressed its strong support for the announcement made by US President Donald Trump regarding the first stage of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. The UAE praised the President’s crucial role in mediating the accord and called on all involved parties to urgently cooperate in stopping the ongoing conflict and working toward lasting peace and stability in the territory.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) acknowledged the vital efforts of President Trump and commended the significant contributions of the State of Qatar, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Republic of Türkiye in facilitating the discussions that produced the agreement.

The UAE voiced optimism that this development will serve as an important milestone in reducing the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, while promoting a just and sustainable resolution that safeguards the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and reinforces security and stability across the region.

The Ministry emphasized the necessity of maintaining momentum by adhering to the terms of the agreement, exercising restraint, and taking substantial steps to restart comprehensive political negotiations aimed at achieving a two-state solution that ensures peace and safety for all communities in the region.

Additionally, Xpats.ae reports that the Ministry reiterated the UAE’s steadfast stance in backing all regional and global initiatives designed to reduce hostilities and advance a fair and comprehensive peace. It also underlined the urgent need for the continuous, secure, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical assistance to the Palestinian population in Gaza.
