Global Village, the UAE’s renowned multicultural family destination for shopping, dining, entertainment, and attractions, officially opened its doors to ‘A More Wonderful World’ with the grand launch of its landmark 30th Season. The festive celebration captivated visitors with unforgettable performances, marking the start of a milestone year for the popular destination, reported Xpats.ae.
The opening night was filled with colour, music, and excitement as every corner of the venue buzzed with celebration. The energy reached new heights with the Retumbar street drummers and representatives from all 30 pavilions taking part in the vibrant Parade of the World. As confetti and streamers painted the sky, the first guests of the Season were warmly welcomed in an atmosphere of pure joy and anticipation.
A breathtaking drone show illuminated the night sky in one of the most memorable opening stunts of the season. Hundreds of drones formed the number ‘30’ along with Global Village’s signature phrase ‘A More Wonderful World,’ celebrating three decades of cultural experiences and entertainment. The sky spectacle became even more thrilling as wing-suited skydivers soared through the illuminated formations, leaving glowing trails of light and fire across the sky, mesmerising the audience.
The destination came alive with spectacular live entertainment spread across multiple venues, including cultural and stage shows that offered guests a dynamic experience throughout the evening. From the Main Stage to the Kids’ Theatre, and through every pavilion, the night showcased Global Village’s diverse cultural offerings. Guests were also treated to a new laser show at Dragon Lake and an impressive light display in front of the main stage, adding more magic to the festivities.
At precisely 9 PM, the excitement reached a peak as 600 drones once again illuminated the skies, revealing special messages inviting visitors to explore the adventures of Season 30. The grand night concluded with a dazzling fireworks display—an iconic Global Village tradition that marked the beginning of an extraordinary season of entertainment and wonder.
Open daily from 4 PM, Global Village welcomes visitors to explore 30 pavilions featuring over 3,500 retail outlets and more than 250 dining experiences. Guests can also enjoy over 200 rides, games, and attractions, and catch 40,500 shows throughout the season. Fireworks will continue to light up the evening skies every Friday and Saturday at 9 PM. As it celebrates its 30th season, Global Village reaffirms its status as the region’s premier cultural and entertainment destination, promising yet another year of world-class experiences for millions of visitors.
