Dubai Chamber of Commerce, operating under the framework of Dubai Chambers, successfully facilitated 294 bilateral business meetings between companies from Dubai and Georgia in Tbilisi, the Georgian capital.
The sessions marked the opening phase of the chamber’s trade mission to Georgia and Armenia, part of the ‘New Horizons’ initiative aimed at promoting the global expansion of Dubai-based firms by providing access to high-potential international markets.
The delegation to Georgia included representatives from 15 Dubai-based enterprises spanning various industries such as automotive, construction and building materials, renewable energy, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, industrial engineering, chemicals, and logistics. This diverse representation highlights Dubai’s efforts to strengthen international collaboration across multiple sectors.
As part of the trade mission, the Chamber hosted a business forum in Tbilisi themed “Doing Business with Georgia.” The event was organised in collaboration with the UAE Embassy in Georgia, the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Embassy of Georgia in the UAE, Invest in Georgia, the Business Association of Georgia, and the Georgian Business Council.
The forum featured welcome remarks from Irakli Nadareishvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, along with addresses by Ahmed Ebrahim Ahmed Taher Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to Georgia; George Janjgava, Ambassador of Georgia to the UAE; Salem Alshamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers; and Giorgi Pertaia, President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The event welcomed 204 attendees, including senior officials, business executives, and Georgian companies keen to develop partnerships with Dubai-based enterprises. Speaking at the event, Alshamsi emphasized that the trade mission reinforces Dubai’s commitment to deepening global business partnerships and fostering new avenues for trade and investment growth between Dubai and Georgia.
Non-oil trade between Dubai and Georgia amounted to AED 2.8 billion in 2024, showing an annual increase of 58.5 percent. By June 2025, the number of Georgian companies registered as active members with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce had reached 114, underscoring growing economic cooperation.
During the forum, Dubai Chambers presented an overview of Dubai’s economic environment, highlighting the emirate’s strategic advantages and competitive business ecosystem for global investors looking to expand their operations. In a complementary presentation, Invest in Georgia showcased Georgia’s rising appeal for international investors through its liberal economic policies, strategic trade routes, and pro-investment reforms.
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce identified several top export products from Dubai to Georgia, including mobile phones, perfumes, vehicles, computer equipment, textiles, and aluminium. Meanwhile, potential investment sectors in Georgia for Dubai businesses include transportation and warehousing, tourism, food and beverage production, ceramics, glass manufacturing, plastics, and real estate development.
