A team from the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, accompanied by representatives of the Emirati Children’s Parliament, embarked on an official visit to Japan on Wednesday, where they toured Expo 2025 Osaka, Xpats.ae reported.

This visit was made under the guidance of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the “Mother of the Nation,” who serves as Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood (SCMC), and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation.

The involvement of the Emirati Children’s Parliament in this visit aims to foster cultural understanding and knowledge sharing, gain insights into international practices focused on sustainable development and innovation, and examine emerging global trends in fields influenced by artificial intelligence.

The delegation consisted of Abdullah Badr Al Ali, who led the group; Saeed Ahmed Al Rumaithi, President of the UAE Youth Council for Agriculture and UNICEF Youth Advocate at COP28; Maryam bint Hassan Al Ghafri, member of the Emirati Children’s Parliament and Chair of the Environmental and Sustainability Committee; and Emirati inventor Ali Al Loughani, also a member of the Emirati Children’s Parliament.

During the visit, the delegation toured the UAE Pavilion, receiving comprehensive insights into its themes and exhibits that highlight the nation’s achievements across diverse sectors.

They also visited the Japan Pavilion and the Women’s Pavilion, an initiative inspired by the Women’s Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, renowned as the first exhibition in World Expo history to be dedicated exclusively to women.

Abdullah Badr Al Ali emphasized that the visit reflects the visionary leadership of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak and the UAE’s commitment to strengthening international collaboration, innovation, and sustainability in line with the principles showcased at the global event.

He praised the active engagement of the Emirati Children’s Parliament delegates, noting that their participation illustrates the UAE’s deep-rooted belief in the importance of empowering children as vital contributors to both present achievements and future aspirations.

Al Ali added that the participation of the young delegates in Expo 2025 Osaka provides them an invaluable opportunity to interact with different cultures, gain enriching global experiences, and broaden their perspectives. He highlighted that the Emirati Children’s Parliament stands as a symbol of the UAE leadership’s unwavering dedication to nurturing youth potential, recognizing their role in driving national progress and global competitiveness.
