President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed that Salaat Al Istisqaa, the prayer for rain, be held in all mosques across the UAE on Friday, 17th October, approximately thirty minutes before the regular Friday prayer (Jumu’ah). This special prayer seeks divine blessings for rain and mercy across the nation.
His Highness urged all worshippers throughout the country to turn to Allah Almighty in prayer, seeking His grace and abundance. The call for Salaat Al Istisqaa follows the noble Sunnah (tradition) of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, who encouraged believers to pray for rain during times of dryness and need. The UAE continues this spiritual tradition, promoting reflection, unity, and devotion among its people.
