Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), toured GITEX GLOBAL 2025, the world’s premier exhibition dedicated to technology and artificial intelligence, hosted at the Dubai World Trade Centre. During her visit, Her Highness received an overview of the latest digital inventions and intelligent solutions showcased by participants representing approximately 180 nations.
Her Highness commended the tremendous efforts invested in organizing this globally significant event, now in its 45th edition. She highlighted that GITEX GLOBAL has solidified its reputation as a cornerstone platform uniting visionaries, innovators, and leading organizations across the global tech landscape. The event continues to foster innovation, collaboration, and initiatives that contribute to advancing progress and improving human wellbeing around the world.
Speaking on the occasion, Her Highness remarked: “GITEX GLOBAL stands as a reflection of our leadership’s dedication to utilizing technology as a key driver for sustainable development and prosperity. The event reinforces Dubai’s prominent role in facilitating international partnerships and nurturing collaboration among the world’s foremost technology creators and entrepreneurs, while empowering startups to pursue new growth horizons. This underscores Dubai’s position as a global partner in shaping a future driven by innovation, human development, and enhanced quality of life.”
She further added: “As technology continues to influence every aspect of daily life, it also serves as a vital pillar for cultural and creative advancement. Each innovation offers new avenues of artistic expression and new ways for communities to engage with art and knowledge. Integrating modern technologies into the cultural sphere redefines creativity, making it more inclusive, accessible, and capable of connecting with broader audiences. During the tour, Her Highness visited both local and international pavilions participating in the landmark 45th edition of GITEX GLOBAL, which brings together more than 6,800 tech enterprises and 2,000 startups from across the world. She was accompanied by Her Excellency Maryam bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State and Secretary-General of the UAE Cabinet; Her Excellency Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai; and Her Excellency Aisha Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai.
Her Highness also visited the pavilion of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, where she was briefed on key strategies and technologies that support the nation’s digital transformation and enhance cyber resilience. The presentation also featured the Council’s global collaborations aimed at strengthening international cybersecurity frameworks and reinforcing the UAE’s status as a leader in technological excellence.
Additionally, she toured the EDGE Group pavilion — one of the UAE’s most advanced technology and defense conglomerates — to learn about the latest innovations in cybersecurity and defense systems. Her Highness also engaged with global leaders in cybersecurity and digital asset protection, including CrowdStrike and Recorded Future, emphasizing the critical need to maintain a secure digital infrastructure as an essential foundation for modern life and all strategic sectors.
